Hi, I’m Kate.

I’m an empathetic and curious designer driven by context and user outcomes. 

I lead with intention to find and solve the right problems and I love investigating the ‘why’ behind design choices to rally stakeholders around user impact.

I'm a Senior User Experience Designer for Workiva, a SaaS financial technology company that provides financial reporting software. I collaborate daily with a talented team of Product Managers, Designers (UX, UI, and Content), UX Researchers, and Software Engineers to improve our products, making it easier for financial auditors of public companies to follow annual federal regulations.

In my past (professional) life, I worked in cultural institutions and nonprofits as an educator, content creator, and fundraiser. I enjoy utilizing all the interests and skills I picked up in my past career as a UXD: my love for qualitative research, my passion for creating, and my drive to help others.

In addition to being passionate about design, I love hanging out with my dog, traveling, reading, and all things pop culture.
